The Ujima TV Show taped an interview of Kelley in action with hosts Damita and Evelina on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 10:30a to 11:30a. (Click on the image below to read publication.)
The Ujima TV Show was created for the purpose of sharing stories, ideas, and to inspire more faith, hope, and love in the world. The hope is that viewers will feel motivated to take a leap of faith and be encouraged to follow their dreams. The shows’ discussion topics include: community, lifestyle, prosperity, culture, arts and young minds and much more.
The show would not be possible without inspirational guests, such as; Kelley Glover and others. Damita and Evelina thank all their guests from the bottom of their hearts for being a part of the show. It is so exciting to know that the show helps others discover, know and live their true life’s purpose!
Kelley was also included on the cover of Ujima magazine's, March/April issue with the U BETTER Sing! class, with photos for the featured article. WOO HOOO!!

Tune-In to KOOP 91.7 fm from 1:30p to 2:00p, Wednesday, January 26, 2011, to catch a special interview on "Reflections of Community Outreach" with host Rachael Portney and U Better Sing! Kelley Glover. Kelley will answer questions and discuss services offered by U Better Sing! and issues facing today's students, parents, and educators, as well as share current U Better Sing! volunteer opportunities. Listeners will also learn how to get involved in U Better Sing! and find out more about upcoming U Better Sing! events.
Wednesday, January 19, 2011: The Voice of Austin, KAZI 88.7 fm Interview
Tune in to KAZI 88.7 fm Soul Vibrations from 9a to 12 noon, to hear the latest U Better Sing! news with MZ Marlah and Kelley Glover, Creator, Executive Producer and Executive Director, to share positive reflections with others in the community.
U BETTER Sing! Premiere Launch, November 20, 2010:
Our premiere launch event for our U BETTER Sing! ™ fundraiser took place on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Unity Church of the Hills, Austin, Texas, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This extraordinary night in music education included a screening of the U BETTER Sing! pilot episode and musical performances by the cast of U BETTER Sing! and the Austin Children’s Choir. During the premiere launch event supporters had the opportunity to be a part of this unprecedented educational program as an attendee, a silent auction donor or through the contribution of a monetary gift.
Guests browsed, bid, and nibbled on a variety of marinated cheeses, humus, fruit and vegetable trays and dips; herb seasoned chicken and meatball kebobs; wines, punch, and cucumber water; and delicious U BETTER Sing! decorated carrot cake and chocolate cake catered by Sugar and Spice.
The U BETTER Sing! cast and the Austin Children's Choir opened the program with Afro Latino Drumming, then John Fleming (Executive Director of L.E.A.P.) gave a moving introduction. Video show segments and a presentation by Annie Schwanke and Kristopher Ruiz about "The Brain on Music!" followed.
During intermission, guests were given an opportunity to make their last bids and graze on Sugar and Spice cake, meats, and drink.
The second half of the U BETTER Sing! premier launch event opened with Kelley's story - the creation of U BETTER Sing! followed by a viewing of the U BETTER Sight Sing! cartoon.
John Fleming made a final call to support U BETTER Sing!, silent auction winners were announced, and The Austin Children's Choir performed "Thank You" (music and lyrics by Kelley Glover) with U BETTER Sing! members Deliah Mooney, Enang Ita, Alyssa Angel, Cassandra Dixson, Adriana Longoria, and Alyssa Gray on solo and duet parts.
The show closed with a reception in Friendship Hall, and guests picked up and paid for their silent auction items.
